The Toccoa Police Department is investigating two alleged robberies that were reported to have happened on the same day.

First, police responded to a South Broad Street store on March 21 where a man told an officer that another individual had choked him and stolen $200 out of his pocket.

On the same date, March 21, a woman went to the Toccoa Police Department and reported that a family member had been robbed by a host of individuals.

Meanwhile, Toccoa Police also responded to a Rose Lane residence on March 20 in reference to a reported burglary.

According to the report on file, a woman told police that she discovered someone had entered a vacant residence currently in foreclosure sometime within the last couple of weeks.

The report stated it appears that someone entered through the back window and started stripping wires from inside the attic.

Finally, the Toccoa Police Department responded to a hotel off of Currahee Street in reference to a reported burglary on March 22.

In the report, a couple told the officer responding that their room was broken into and about $180 worth of groceries was taken, along with some prescription medication.

Police said that it appeared as if there were pry marks on the door where a suspect could have entered the room.

Both of the burglaries also remain under investigation.
