NGTC Seeking Award Nominations

North Georgia Technical College is currently seeking nominations for its annual Alumni Awards.

The school holds its annual Alumni Awards Luncheon and Annual Meeting on June 13 at the school’s Clarkesville campus.

Nominations are currently being sought for those to be recognized in the categories of Young Alumni, Career Achievement, and Hall of Fame Award recipients.

The Young Alumni Award is given to a graduate of North Georgia Technical College who completed his or her program within the last five years and who has made an outstanding contribution in his or her profession and community.

Meanwhile, the Career Achievement Award is given to a graduate of North Georgia Technical College working in the field for which he or she studied at the school and has distinguished themselves in their career and is respected by fellow employees and citizens of the community.

Finally, the Hall of Fame Award is bestowed on a deserving alumnus, alumna, or former employee of North Georgia Technical College who has distinguished themselves in their professional life.

The school says that if an alumnus, the candidate must have graduated from North Georgia Tech at least 20 years prior to nomination and candidates who are currently employed at North Georgia Tech are not eligible to be considered.

New this year, the Alumni will also be recognizing an outstanding supporter of North Georgia Technical College. The school says parameters for that award are currently being developed and will be announced soon.

Applications are available in the Foundation Office in the Mobley Building on the Clarkesville campus of North Georgia Tech.

The deadline for nominations is May 11.
