Lady Indians Fall to Chestatee in Region Hoops Semis

The Stephens County Lady Indian basketball team will play for third place in the Region 8-AAAA girls’ basketball tournament later today.

Monday, the Lady Indians fell to Chestatee 36-29 in a region semi-final game at Lanier High School.

With the win, Chestatee’s girls will advance to the region championship game tonight at Lanier against Eastside, who defeated Walnut Grove in the other girls’ semi-final.

Stephens County will play Walnut Grove in the girls’ third-place game today at 4 p.m., also at Lanier High School.

Air time on AM 630 WNEG and wnegradio.com will be on the air at 3:45 p.m. for today’s girls’ third-place game.
