Interview: Discover Life Church Offers Roadside Prayer, Baptism

Yesterday, June 27, citizens traveling on Big A Road may have noticed several individuals standing on the street corners at Big A Road and Glendale Street. After several calls and texts from local citizens inquiring about the activity, WNEG News stopped by the location where members of Toccoa’s non-denominational Discover Life Church were braving yesterday’s high temperatures to offer citizens prayer, and even on-site baptism. 

WNEG News spoke with Discover Life’s Pastor Ryan Bennett, who explained how the church made the decision to offer these outdoor services to community members. 

The young man that Bennett spoke to outside that hotel, Marcus Gregory, was also at yesterday’s impromptu baptism and prayer offerings, and he told WNEG that the message he offers is that there is hope.
