Indians Top Warriors in Scrimmage Game

The Stephens County High School Indians’ football team had a pre-season scrimmage game with White County on Friday night in Cleveland to help get ready for the regular season.

Stephens County broke out to a 24-0 halftime lead on the way to a 36-21 win over the Warriors.

In the first half, the Indians scored three touchdowns.

Those came on a 61-yard run by Hassan Brown, a 49-yard run by Jackson Bell, and a 1-yard run by Chris Craft.

Luke Pearson would add a 36-yard field goal in the first half.

In the second half, the Indians scored two more touchdowns. Those came on a 30-yard touchdown pass from AJ Curry to Nunu Walker and a 32-yard touchdown run by Ken Major.

White County scored the final 21 points.

Stephens County opens the regular season on Friday, August 26, at Franklin County.

Meanwhile, White County travels to Carnesville this Friday to take on Franklin County.
