Historic Plaque Unveiled at Simmons-Bond Inn

The city of Toccoa dedicates the latest in its historic plaque series throughout downtown.

City officials were at the Simmons-Bond Inn at a ceremony last Tuesday at the Inn, which is located at the corner of Alexander and Tugalo streets in downtown Toccoa.

The house was built in 1903.

This was the second of ten buildings that are set to receive plaques over the coming months.

City officials said once all plaques have been installed, a walking tour podcast will accompany them to further bring historical awareness to downtown Toccoa.
