Graduation took place Friday night at the Stephens County High School football stadium in Toccoa.

229 graduates received their diplomas.

97 of those were honor graduates.

The Class of 2015 earned more than $1.4 million in scholarship money, not including potential HOPE scholarship money that is available to the class over the next four years.

The valedictorian was Karolyn Knickerbocker.

“I challenge Stephens County’s Class of 2015 to step boldly off of this bus and find your place in this world,” said Knickerbocker. “Find and walk the path that you are meant to travel down.”

The salutatorian was Grant Dawson.

“Some of us can now fix cars and others hair, some can now weld and others now know how to build,” said Dawson. “But through it all, our classmates have always been with us. The journey has not always been smooth and sometimes we made it rough on ourselves, but regardless, the people sitting around you today have made you an integral part of who you are.”
