Cold Start to Week in Region

A freeze warning remains in effect for Stephens and surrounding counties through 10 a.m. today.

The National Weather Service Office in Greenville-Spartanburg said that cold high pressure will remain in place over the region today.

According to the Weather Service, this will keep calm to light winds while skies remain generally clear.

For that reason, the Weather Service said widespread freezing temperatures and areas of frost will continue to develop through the early morning hours.

This morning’s weather follows a cold, and at times, windy weekend in the area.

A warm-up is expected through the day today, with temperatures rising into the 60s this afternoon.
