Also on Monday, commissioners approved a bid for a manhole replacement on Curtis Street.

Commissioners unanimously approved the bid of Dodd Construction of Lavonia in the amount of $25,000.

Dodd’s was the lowest of two bids for the project.

The commission’s approval is based on staff review of the bid to make sure it meets all of the requirements.

Morse said a manhole at the intersection of Curtis Street and Big A Road is in need of being replaced because of deterioration.

In other action from Monday’s meeting, Toccoa City Commissioners unanimously approved annexation requests for two properties on Fernside Drive. The properties are associated with the Learning Tree Academy.
