Chamber of Commerce Hosts 20th Annual Golf Classic

The Toccoa Stephens County Chamber of  Commerce hosted its 20th Annual Golf Classic, Friday May 12th at the Currahee Club.

President of the Chamber Julie Paysen said that the there was a lot of participation this year.

“We had 25 teams this year, teams of four, and those spots had been booked up for over a month,” said Paysen. “So word got out and we’re grateful for the participation we had.”

Several businesses in the community helped sponsor the event and Paysen thanked them for their support.

“The corporate support that we have in this community is tremendous,” said Paysen. “And we are so grateful at the Chamber for our members and for the support that they give our community.”

According to Paysen, there were 100 golfers participating in the tournament and around 25-30 volunteers.

Paysen said the event is a great way to celebrate an amenity that this community offers.
