BREAKING NEWS: Doyle Street Pool Closed Until June 18

Camp Fire officials advised WNEG News at 7:30 p.m. this evening, June 14, that the Doyle Street Pool will be closed this weekend and will not re-open until Tuesday, June 18, “due to being short staffed.”

Camp Fire operates the Toccoa City/Doyle Street Pool under contract with the City of Toccoa, and has operated the pool since 2014. According to previous reports by WNEG News, Camp Fire Georgia retains all revenue from the pool, and is paid a roughly $30,000 annual management fee by the city to manage the pool.

Inquiries to Camp Fire officials regarding this weekend’s last-minute closure have not yet been answered. WNEG News will update this story as more information becomes available.
