Animal Shelter Receives Donation From Local Business

American Woodmark GrantA local business provides some funding to help the Toccoa-Stephens County Humane Shelter.

Recently, the American Woodmark Foundation provided a $500 grant to the shelter to help with its operating expenses.

Toccoa-Stephens County Humane Shelter Executive Director Jeff Roberts said that the grant will help the shelter provide food, medical care, and other needs for the animals that are at the shelter.

“We greatly appreciate the grant they provided,” said Roberts. “It is very important that we receive support from the businesses in the community and it can definitely be put to good use.”

The Toccoa-Stephens County Humane Shelter is a 501(c)(3) organization that does accept donations.
