Actions Taken at SC Commission Meeting

At the Stephens County Commission meeting on Tuesday following the work session the following actions were taken:

The Stephens County Board of Commissioners approved the fiscal year 2016 budget amendment to adjust for public works, superior court, juvenile court and public defender, and authorized Chairman Dennis Bell to sign a resolution.

The board approved to take Ventura Drive into the county road maintenance system by way of deeded right of way as soon as possible.

The board approved to authorize Chairman Bell to sign a pricing agreement with CW Matthews for Rock Creek Road.

The board authorized Chairman Bell to sign a hazardous waste trust fund application for the Stephens County Landfill in the amount of $6,695.

The board approved to award Billy Cain Ford Lincoln the bid for three pickup trucks for the Public Works Department.

The Stephens County Board of Commissioners also approved the statement of support for the City of Toccoa to award the Veterans Parkway water and sewer improvements contract to Legacy Water Group, LLC.
