Whitfield to Play in All-Star Games

Stephens County Lady Indians Softball pitcher Emma Whitfield will participate in the Georgia Dugout Club’s Senior All-Star games this Saturday and Sunday in Lagrange.

Whitfield, who is signing next week to play in college at Clemson University, is one of three players from Region-8 AAAA participating in the games. The other players are Oconee County’s Hannah Patridge, and Morgan Tyler.

Franklin County will also have two players participating: Presley Chappalear and Peyton Rivers, and Habersham Central’s Paige Cook, signed to play in college at Mississippi State, is also on the team.

The team is coached by Jason Oliver of Franklin County, Bryan Eades of Oconee County, and Brooks Youngblood from Lambert.

The games will be played at Lagrange College and game times are 5:30 P.M. on Saturday, and 10:00 A.M. on Sunday. There will also be a skill competition.
