Weather Update
WNEG News has received a weather update from Stephens County Emergency Management Director Danielle Rhodes following her early afternoon briefings with the national weather, service and state emergency management officials:
Snowfall totals are predicted to be 1-2 inches, with more ice predicted than originally anticipated.
Citizens are asked to stay off the roads after the storm begins unless travel is absolutely necessary. Road conditions are expected to deteriorate quickly and roadways need to stay clear for first responders.
Also, to keep phone lines, clear for emergencies, be sure to call the provider regarding power outages, phone outages, Internet, outages, or other issues that are not emergencies.
DO NOT call 911 for power outages. Call your power company to report power outages. This is also true for TV, phone, and internet outages.
