As you prepare to head to the polls, we encourage you to vote “YES” for SPLOST 2025, the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax.
SPLOST is a 1% sales tax, one penny of every dollar, which funds essential county projects like road maintenance, infrastructure improvements, and community enhancements without increasing property taxes. This approach ensures that everyone, resident, tourist, or anyone passing through who shops or travels through Stephens County contributes, not just our local property owners.

County Commissioners will be on stage to answer questions from the community and share how funds will be allocated, should SPLOST VIII pass in this election.
If you’d like to show your support for SPLOST VIII, we have yard signs available at the Chamber of Commerce office. You can pick one up Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, or Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Our office is located at 160 N. Alexander Street, Toccoa.
