Visitation at SCH suspended due to concerns of COVID-19

Stephens County Hospital has announced changes to its visitation policy.

On Friday, Stephens County Hospital Chief Executive Officer Mike Hester announced the change, stating the health and safety of the hospital’s patients are top priorities.

Hester says due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Stephens County, visitation will be suspended immediately for residents at both personal care homes, the Wilkinson and Clary Centers, and patients at the hospital with the exception of Labor and Delivery.

Patients receiving outpatient surgery will be allowed one support person.
