Vine Ingle beats Toccoa 14-10 to force Deciding Game in Senior Little League State Tournament

Vine Ingle stayed alive in the Georgia Little League Senior League Baseball State Tournament Wednesday evening, defeating Toccoa 14-10 at Doyle Street Park in Toccoa.

Vine Ingle scored two runs in the top of the first inning on a home run by pitcher Colt Fortner and never trailed after the third inning.

Toccoa’s best inning was the fifth, when they came back from a one-hour rain delay and scored seven runs.

Fortner was the winning pitcher for Vine Ingle and had four RBIs in the contest. 

Landry Williams took the loss for Toccoa. Wyatt Rudeseal had two RBIs for Toccoa, and Carmelo Renfro and Isiah Patterson had an RBI.

The two teams will play for the Georgia Little League Senior League Baseball State Championship on Thursday at 6 p.m. WNEG will broadcast the game starting at 5:45 p.m. 

The winner of the tournament earns the State Championship Banner and will head to Safety Harbor, Florida, to compete in the Southeast Regional Senior League Baseball Tournament later this month.
