Vehicle Fire on Powerline Drive

Shortly after 1 p.m. on Monday, February 9, Stephens County 911 received reports of a possible vehicle fire in the 500 block of Powerline Drive.

Carnes Creek Fire, Stephens County EMS, and Stephens County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the area.

Once first units arrived on scene, they found a truck that was fully involved with heavy fire threatening a nearby home.

Firefighters were quickly able to attack the fire and bring the blaze under control, and scan the home with a thermal imaging device to make sure the home had no exposure from the fire.

No injuries were reported, EMS did treat a person on scene for unrelated medical issues.
