Two Toccoa men arrested while SCSO Deputies search residence

Investigators with the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office made a drug arrest over the weekend.

According to Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley, an investigation began after receiving multiple reports of traffic in the area of Greenwood Circle related to the sale of illegal narcotics.

After a brief investigation, Shirley says investigators obtained a search warrant for the residence of 28-year-old Kadaryl Dawun Burtch.

During the execution of the search warrant, a quantity of methamphetamine, along with several sets of digital scales and packaging material, were found inside the home.

Shirley says 26-year-old Charles Dean Bray, of Toccoa was at the residence during the search.

Bray failed to comply with the commands of deputies when they were securing the residence.

Kadaryl Dawun Burtch was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine.

Charles Dean Bray was arrested and charged with obstruction of an officer.

Both subjects were transported to the Stephens County Jail where they await a bond hearing.
