Two arrested following Drug Investigation in Stephens County
On March 6, 2025, the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Unit and agents with the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO) Drug Task Force conducted a search warrant at a residence on Celtic Drive in Eastanollee.
Sheriff’s Office investigators received a tip from a concerned citizen which sparked an investigation into an individual named Gary Marvin English for the sale of illegal narcotics.
At approximately 9:55 a.m., the Crime Suppression Unit, ARDEO Drug Task Force agents, Toccoa Police Department detectives, and State Probation officers arrived at English’s residence on Celtic Drive in regard to this case. Upon arrival, investigators made contact with English. After discovering a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine in his pocket, they obtained a search warrant for the property.
During a thorough search of the residence, investigators located and seized the following items: approximately 240 grams of suspected methamphetamine, $4,572 in cash, 21 firearms, and a large quantity of ammunition.
Gary Marvin English, 65 of Eastanollee, was arrested and transported to the Stephens County Jail. He is being charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Trafficking Methamphetamine, three counts of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime, and five counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
A female at the residence was also arrested and transported to the Stephens County Jail. Sandra Ostiguy, 65 of Toccoa, is being charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Trafficking Methamphetamine, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.
