TPD needs help identifying robbery suspect

The Toccoa Police Department is asking the public for help identifying a suspect wanted in connection to a recent robbery.

According to Toccoa Police Chief Jimmy Mize, on January 13, during lunch, the Hibachi Grill and Buffett, located at 1488 Big A Road, in Toccoa, was robbed.

Mize says a suspect entered the restaurant looking for someone. He went out with some patrons that were leaving and watched the clerk.

Security footage shows that when the clerk went into the dining area, the suspect reentered and went straight to the cash register where he took the cash out.

The clerk chased him out the door and told officers he left in a white Kia Sorento with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect was wearing a black hoodie with “TOKYO” written on the back and black and white shoes.

If you can identify the suspect, please contact investigators at the Toccoa Police Department by calling 706-282-3236.
