Tourism Development Team Presenting in Toccoa Tomorrow

Mainstreet Toccoa and the Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce are hosting a presentation for the tourism product development resource team tomorrow.

Community Development Director Connie Tabor said the resource team visited Toccoa earlier this year to evaluate the community’s tourism.

“The resource team came earlier this year with 10 participants,” said Tabor. “They evaluated our community’s tourism product and will provide recommendations for future innovative techniques and strategies for us to develop our tourism product even more.”
The resource team is made up of travel associations, downtown professionals and more.

“Our Northeast Georgia travel association product development team representative Sheryl Smith will be on the team, as well as downtown professionals, Georgia Grown professionals and also Cindy Edson is the director of product development for the Georgia Department of Economic Development so she’ll be leading the team,” said Tabor.
The overall purpose of this presentation is to give suggestions about improving tourism in Toccoa.
The public is encouraged to attend this presentation tomorrow at the Schaefer Center. A reception begins at 5 p.m. and the presentation at 5:30. It is free to attend with no ticket required.
