Total Lunar Eclipse Tuesday Morning

By US National Weather Service Greenville-Spartanburg SC

The morning of Tuesday, March 3, a Total Lunar Eclipse will take place. In the Western Carolinas and Northeast Georgia, the moon will reach totality very low above the horizon closer to sunrise. The red Moon may be visible briefly, but the later stages of the eclipse will not be visible as the moon will set soon after. Cloud cover will be high, so the likelihood of actually seeing it in our area is very slim to none.
