Toccoa wins Senior Little League All-Stars Tournament

The Toccoa Senior Little League All-Stars are the State of Georgia Champions following a 7-2 win over Vine Ingle Thursday evening at Doyle Street Park.

Vine Ingle jumped out to a 2-0 start in the top of the first inning against Toccoa starting pitcher Isiah Patterson, who settled down after that inning and only gave up four hits and struck out 8.

Toccoa got a run in the first inning, two in the third, one in the fifth, and three insurance runs in the sixth inning. Caden Hamilton had two RBIs, while Wyatt Rudeseal and Jasper Davenport each knocked in a run.

Toccoa’s All-Stars will now travel to Safety Harbor, Florida, for the Southeast Regional Senior League Baseball Tournament beginning July 18th. Toccoa is scheduled to play the Virginia All-Stars in their first game that afternoon at 5:30 p.m.
