Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber celebrates Burger King with ribbon cutting

The Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce welcomed one of its newest members, Burger King, with a ribbon cutting ceremony, Tuesday morning.

Several business leaders and Chamber members gathered around as Carolina Franchise Holding Director of Marketing Ben Fleming thanked everyone for their support.

“Welcome everyone, this has definitely the biggest turnout for our grand opening and ribbon cutting so far, so thank you for coming,” he said.

Carolina Franchise Holdings Chief Operating Officer Ben Wasser spoke about how helpful everyone in Toccoa-Stephens County has been.

“Good morning everyone. We started out 2019 with only a handful of stores, but at the end of 2019 with 30, and this was our last one to open. I just wanted to take the time to tell everyone ‘thank you for coming.’ Everyone has been great and helpful—the town, the community. And its been booming ever since,” Wasser said.

Toccoa Mayor Terry Carter thanked Wasser for investing in Toccoa-Stephens County.

“It’s really an honor to be one of the first to congratulate you and welcome Burger King back to Toccoa,” Carter said. “It’s been a long while, and I think people missed it. I commend your architect, or whoever designed this beautiful facility. We appreciate your investment in Toccoa and your confidence in Toccoa to make such an investment. We appreciate you providing jobs to folks in our community, and we’re excited to have you here and we just wish you nothing but success.”

Burger King is located at 700 Big A Road, in Toccoa, and is open Monday through Sunday from 6:00 a.m. until 12:00 a.m.
