Toccoa Rolling in Savannah

The Toccoa 11U Little League All-Stars Baseball team is off to a great start in the state tournament in Savannah. Toccoa had blow out wins on Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday, Toccoa rolled to a 17-6 win over the host team Chatham County, and followed that up with a 15-3 victory over East Marietta on Sunday.

The Toccoa team received Monday off, but will return to action this morning at 10 A.M. facing Warner Robins American. The winner will advance to the championship round on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Toccoa Little League is hosting the Georgia Little League 12U state tournament this week at Doyle Street Park. Some adjustments with the schedule were needed due to weekend rains, but Toccoa has received excellent reviews as host.

Warner Robins American has advanced in the winners bracket and will face Peachtree City at 4 P.M. with the winner advancing to the championship round.

Franklin County is representing District 7 and will face Rockmart at 11 A.M. this morning in an elimination game.
