BREAKING NEWS-Toccoa Police Make multiple Arrests in Prather Bridge Shooting

Toccoa Police and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) have made two arrests in connection with a shooting on Prather Bridge Road two weeks ago.

Arrested on Wednesday, August 8th was Samantha B. George, 17 of Toccoa. George was charged with one count of aggravated assault.

Arrested on Thursday, August 9th was Kentavius B. Walker, 21, of Lavonia. Walker turned himself in to the Stephens County Jail and was charged with one count of aggravated assault.

On Thursday, July 26th, Spencer Reason was walking down Prather Bridge Road in Toccoa when he was shot twice in the head and once in the arm. He was left lying in the roadway on Prather Bridge at the intersection of Old Riley Street.

Toccoa Police Chief Jimmy Mize said  the 17-year old Reason remains hospitalized, but continues to improve and is expected to be released soon.

Walker and George remain in the Stephens County Jail and await first appearance and bond amounts.
