Toccoa man charged with Grand larceny in Oconee County, SC

A Toccoa man is charged with grand larceny in Oconee County, SC according to the Oconee County Sheriff’s office.

According to the incident report a burglary took place sometime over Memorial Day weekend at Wood-Tex Products in Fair Play.

The business owner reported a utility trailer had been stolen from behind the shop building and the work shop itself had been broken into.

Investigators determined the suspect gained entry to the workshop through the main entrance.

Taken was the utility trailer valued at $2,000, three battery operated Dewalt reciprocating saws valued at $600, three Dewalt battery operated impact saws valued at $700, two chop saws, a Dewalt Miter valued at $700 and two Dewalt batteries valued at $70.

The business owner had a GPS tracking device on the trailer and was able to track its location via his cellphone app.

Arrested Tuesday was 27-year old James Saul Dugas of 12 Land Drive in Toccoa.

Dugas is charged with one count of Grand Larceny, and one count of Burglary.

He is being held in the Oconee County, SC Detention Center.
