The Toccoa Little League 10U and 11U teams earned wins on Monday night and continue their quest for District 7 championships.

The Toccoa 11U team got solid pitching and good defense in a 4-1 win over Rabun County.

Toccoa scored 2 runs in the top of the 1st inning when Aiden Terrell singled and scored on Isaac Gibson’s double. Gibson later scored on Rhett Addison’s RBI on a fielder’s choice ground ball.

Rabun County scored in the bottom of the inning when Ricky Wells doubled and scored on two throwing errors.

Toccoa added a run in the 2nd inning when Britton Scott singled and scored on an RBI by Levi Phillips, and in the 3rd inning when Aiden Franco scored on an Addison RBI single.

That was all of the scoring needed by Toccoa as pitchers Malcolm Little and Levi Phillips pitched three innings each without allowing an earned run.

In the nightcap, the Toccoa 10U All-Stars blasted Hart County 18-3 in 3 innings.

Toccoa scored a run in the 1st, 4 runs in the 2nd, and sent 17 men to the plate with 13 scoring in the decisive 3rd inning.

Toccoa got 2 RBI’s each from Kreed Ivey, Nolan Taylor, River Armour, Beckham Garfield, and Brantley Kelly, and all 12 hitters on the team scored.

The Toccoa 10U team will face Franklin County in an elimination game on Tuesday night at 7 P.M. with the winner to face undefeated Elbert County.

The Toccoa 11U All-Stars will also face Franklin County. Toccoa lost to Franklin County earlier in the tournament 9-3 and will have to win twice to win the title.
