Toccoa Halloween Parade Costume Winners Announced

Unicorns, superheroes, dinosaurs and a few celebrities visited downtown Toccoa last Thursday, as hundreds of pint-sized trick or treaters joined in the 33rd annual Main Street Toccoa Halloween parade and costume contest for children in three categories – Age 1 and under, 2 year olds, and 3- and 4-year olds.

Businesses all along Doyle St lined up to fill children’s baskets and bags with candy as they passed by.

And as it does every year, the parade ended with the announcement of the winners for best costumes.

First place winners included Josie Jarriel as Spaghetti & Meatballs, Emersyn Shedd as an ear of corn, and Addison Beaver as Birthday Cake.

Second place winners included Beau Looney as a duck hunter, Weston Haygood as a fireman and Colston Roberts as a race car

Third place winners included Tulsa June Murray as a Cow at Oak Valley Farm, Piper Linkous as a bag of cash, accompanied by her very own bank robber, and Myer and Malone Cochran as trolls

And the winner in the best overall category was Landry Hopkins as a train conductor.
