Toccoa defeats Habersham at District 7 10U Baseball Tourney

Seven different players drove in runs as Toccoa defeated Habersham Sunday afternoon, 20 to 8, in the District Seven 10 & under baseball tournament being held at Doyle Street Park in Toccoa.

After Habersham grabbed a 4 to 0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, Toccoa scored 4 runs in the 2nd inning, 6 in the 3rd, and 7 in the 4th to take a commanding lead.

Conner Wallace and Noah Strickland each had 3 RBIs for Toccoa.  Nathan Burgess and Bronson Stowe pitched for Toccoa.

Blayne Gunter had 5 RBIs to lead Habersham.

Toccoa is now 2 & 0 in the tournament after Sundays win and Saturdays 7 to 5 win over Hart.

Toccoa will match up with another undefeated team, Franklin County, tonight at 6 pm.

WNEG will broadcast that game tonight with airtime at 5:45.

Hart, a 15 to 4 winner over Madison County Sunday afternoon, will take on Habersham in elimination game tonight at 8:30.
