Toccoa beats Hart County 16-15 to advance to State Senior Little League Tournament Championship

Catcher Caden Hamilton smacked an RBI single in the bottom of the 7th inning to give Toccoa a thrilling, come-from-behind 16-15 win over the Hart County All-Stars Monday evening in the State Senior Little League Baseball Tournament at Doyle Street Park.

The game went back and forth all evening with Toccoa surrendering a 13-7 lead late in the game. Hart County went ahead in the 7th inning 15-13, scoring five runs in the inning.

Dylan Elrod led off the 7th inning for Toccoa with a double. Thompson Bullard advanced the runner. Isaiah Patterson got on base for the sixth time in the game with a game-tying single. That led to Hamilton’s game-winning hit.

Patterson was also the winning pitcher for Toccoa, coming in for Ryan King in the 7th. Aiden Kennedy, the third Hart County pitcher, took the loss.

Toccoa’s Landry Williams and Patterson each had three RBIs in the contest. Riley Sanders, Landry Carter, and Kale Temple each had two RBIs for Hart County.

Toccoa will play Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Championship Game and WNEG will carry the game live starting at 5:45 p.m.
