Toccoa All-Stars falls to Warner Robins in State Tournament

Warner Robins scored in every inning, including 5 runs in each of the 5th and 6th innings, and eliminated Toccoa in the Georgia Little League 8-9-10 Baseball State tournament 16-5 last night in Dublin.

Warner Robins led 4-0 heading to the bottom of the 2nd, but Toccoa scored three runs in the inning to close the lead to one. That was as close as Toccoa would get as Warner Robins banged out 19 hits in the game.

Toccoa had 10 hits, led by Christian Hewitt with 4. Grant McGee added two hits and two RBI’s. Caden Hogan also had 2 RBI’s for Toccoa.

Toccoa finishes the double-elimination tournament at 2-2, and finishes as District 7 champions after going undefeated in district play.
Warner Robins will now face Cartersville tonight in the loser’s bracket. Northern of Columbus and Martinez-Evans meet in the winners bracket.
