TLL Rookie, Sandlot teams end run in Northeast Sectional Tournament

The Toccoa Little League Rookie baseball team’s run in the Northeast Sectional Tournament in Lavonia ended Saturday.

Toccoa lost to the host team, Franklin County, 10 to 4.

Oconee County then defeated Franklin County Sunday, 15 to 2, to win the Sectional and move on to the state tournament.

Toccoa entered the tourney as the District 7 champs after defeating Franklin County for the title on June 4^th with a close 13 to 12 win.

The top two teams from District qualified for the Sectional Tournament.

Toccoa’s Sandlot team ended their Sectional Tournament play Thursday night in Lavonia when they lost to Athens, 12 to 6.

Toccoa’s Sandlot team was the District 7 champs.  Oconee County also won the Sectional in the Sandlot division.
