Three Brush Fires Friday in Stephens County
The Carnes Creek Fire Department reports that they responded to three brush fires on Friday, October 3.
Around 10:20 a.m., Carnes Creek Fire and Eastanollee Fire responded to reports of a brush fire in the 900 block of Clary Connector. Once the first units arrived on scene, the blaze had been contained, and firefighters extinguished the remaining hot spots and a plastic pipe that had been exposed to the fire. No injuries or extensive damage were reported.
Later in the day, Carnes Creek Fire and Shiloh Fire responded to the scene of a brush fire in the 1200 block of Black Mountain Road. The fire was extinguished safely.
Then, Carnes Creek Fire responded to reports of another brush fire on Highway 365 in the area of Davis Mountain Road. The fire was extinguished and all units returned to their stations.
