TFC presents Wade Distinguished Scholar Faculty Award to Nicole Brown

Toccoa Falls College is honored to recognize Nicole Brown, Assistant Professor of Counseling Psychology, as the 2025 recipient of the Wade Distinguished Scholar Faculty Award which honors faculty who have demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarship. Professor Brown, since joining faculty in 2022, has demonstrated exceptional distinction in teaching, scholarship, teaching innovation, and leadership for both the college and the community.

In the classroom, Professor Brown consistently receives exemplary student evaluations and is well-known for her creative innovation in the classroom. She creates a dynamic classroom environment that utilizes academic preparations with integrity and sustained energy. Professor Brown engages students on a deeper level and challenges them to examine their biases, assumptions, and spiritual lives. She meets regularly with students and is heavily involved in the Counseling Psychology Club on campus as one of the club sponsors.

Professor Brown is concluding her PhD coursework in Counseling and Psychological Studies at Regent University and is beginning the dissertation process with an anticipated graduation date of Spring 2026.

Outside of TFC, Professor Brown has distinguished herself as an engaged and committed parent representative of the School Governance Teams at both Liberty Elementary and Toccoa Elementary Schools.

Whether through engaging students in the classroom or modeling leadership in the campus community, Professor Brown exemplifies the mission of TFC to develop both character and intellect.
