TFC Lady Screaming Eagles earn berth in NCCAA

The Toccoa Falls College Women’s Volleyball team has earned a berth in the NCCAA Division 2 National Championship.

The Lady Screaming Eagles received an at-large berth after finishing 2nd in the South Region Tournament held earlier this month at TFC.

The Lady Screaming Eagles lost to Bob Jones University in the Championship Match in 5 sets.

TFC will compete against 7 other teams at the National Championship Tournament that begins Thursday, November 16th, and continues through Saturday, November 18th in Greenville at Bob Jones University.

TFC will go into the tournament with an overall record of 20 & 10.

Lady Screaming Eagles Assistant Coach Bethany Slate Brock says they are playing their best as they enter the National Tournament.

Three TFC players were named All Region after the South Region Tournament—Kaitlin Weidner, a senior from Corry, PA, was named MVP and first team; Katie Hall, a junior from Flowery Branch, was named first team; and Kayle Glore, a sophomore from Austell, made second team.

Also, TFC Head Coach Selina Slate, in her 23rd season, was named Coach of the Year.
