TFC Hoops Sweeps Clearwater Christian College

The Toccoa Falls College basketball teams pick up a road sweep.

TFC’s men’s and women’s teams traveled to Clearwater Christian College for region games Thursday.

In the girls’ game, Katie Calloway put up 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Screaming Eagle women over Clearwater Christian, 71-52.

TFC’s women shot 56 percent and the first half to open up a 13-point halftime lead on their way to the win.

Mallorie Collum added 12 points and 7 rebounds to help the TFC cause.

The TFC women are now 10-13 on the season and 3-1 in region play.

Moving to the men’s game, the Screaming Eagles hit the 100-point mark for the first time this season in a 100-69 win over Clearwater Christian College.

TFC shot 64 percent for the game, including 60 percent from three-point range.

The Screaming Eagles put six players in double figures.

Jon Sauls led TFC with 19 points. Marques Sullivan added 16 points, Conner Iverson scored 15, and Stephen Adams had 12, while Josh Barrett and Derek Westfall each had 10 points.

With the win, TFC’s men move to 13-10 on the season and 5-2 in region play.

The Toccoa Falls College men’s and women’s basketball teams are both back in action tonight at Pensacola Christian College.
