TFC Hoops Enters Post-Season Play
The Toccoa Falls College men’s and women’s basketball teams will enter post-season play this weekend.
First, the TFC Eagle men will travel to Kissimmee to compete in their south region tournament starting today.
The Eagles are seeded third in the tournament after compiling a conference record of 8-4.
TFC will play the sixth-seeds from Piedmont International University tonight at 6 p.m. in the first round of the tournament.
Toccoa Falls defeated PIU twice this year, first by a 90-50 score on December 13 in Toccoa then on the road by a 71-69 score on January 18.
If Toccoa Falls advances to the semi-finals, it would play the winner of the game between second-seeded Pensacola and seventh-seeded Trinity College of Florida Friday at 7 p.m.
The men’s championship game will be Saturday at 2 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Toccoa Falls College Lady Eagles are hosting their region tournament this weekend.
The Lady Eagles are the fourth seeds in the tournament and will play top-seeded Pensacola Friday at 7p.m.
TFC is 0-2 in women’s hoops this year against PensacolaChristianCollege, most recently losing 55-45 earlier this month.
The winner of that game will play the winner of a game between Trinity Baptist and Clearwater in Saturday’s 2 p.m. region championship game.
