Swenson To Make History As Pitt Panther

Former Stephens County Baseball standout Davis Swenson will now take his talents to the University of Pittsburgh.

Swenson was a key part of a pitching rotation for three seasons with the Indians and in 2018 was named 1^st team All-Region and 2^nd team All-State. He also played 1^st base in 2018 and led the team in hitting.

This past season at Gordon State College was cut short due to Covid-19, but Swenson pitched well when given the opportunity on a team that finished 16-5.

The Panthers are a member of the ACC, and when they take the field next season, Swenson will be the first Stephens County baseball player to play for a Power 5 program.
