Summer Movies at the Ritz begins on Thursday

The Summer Movies at the Historic Ritz Theatre will kick-off on Thursday.

According to Ritz Theatre General Manager Tami Mayhugh, this is the first time since early March, that the Historic Ritz Theatre will be opening its doors to the public.

She says the Summer Movie Series is slated to begin Thursday, July 2, at 10 a.m. with additional showings at 3 p.m. and again at 7 p.m.

To kick-off Independence Day weekend, the Historic Ritz Theatre will be showing the award-winning blockbuster hit 1917.

Mayhugh says the movie line-up also includes The Angry Birds 2 Movie on July 9, Sonic the Hedgehog on July 16, The Addams Family on July 23, and Aladdin on July 30.

Additionally, Mayhugh says in August, they will be bringing back the Ritz’s Theatre’s Saturday Matinees.

As always, movies and concessions are $1 each.

At this time, the Ritz Theatre is only accepting cash for the Summer Movie Series.
