Stephens County Projects funded by SPLOST over the Years

As you consider your vote on the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax or SPLOST VIII today, Tuesday, November 4, Stephens County Administrator Christian Hamilton gives the projects funded by SPLOST over the years.

SPLOST has been in place in Stephens County for nearly 40 years. It helps lower property taxes by using money from retail and online purchases made in Stephens County to fund vital community projects. It reduces the need for higher property taxes and ensures that everyone who spends money in Stephens County helps support the county’s future.
