Stephens County Election Supervisor reminds voters of important change to November Election

Stephens County Election Supervisor Krista Terry is reminding voters that election day voting will look a little different in November.

Terry says, voters will be able to cast ballots at the Stephens County Senior Center and the Stephens County Recreation Department’s Gym adjacent to the Senior Center.

She says the gym will provide space for additional voting machines to ensure the election’s office is compliant to state requirements.

Additionally, Terry says voters can request absentee ballot applications now until October 28.

Terry says there are a few more important dates to remember prior to the November 8th election.

She says her office will begin conducting Logic and Accuracy Testing on September 26, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Election Office inside the Stephens County Historic Courthouse.

She says all BMDs, ICPs, and Poll Pads to be used for the November election will be tested. Logic and Accuracy testing will continue until the process is completed. Terry says testing is open to members of the public.

She says the last day to register to vote and be eligible to vote in the November 8th election is October 11, 2022.

Terry says early voting will start on October 17 and run through November 4; and noted they will have two Saturdays for early voting on October 22 and October 29.

Early voting will be held in the Stephens County Historic Courthouse and will run Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. October 17 through November 4. The Saturday Early Voting days will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will also be held in the Historic Courthouse.
