Stephens County Development Authority gives 2025 Manufacturing Challenge Industry Tours
The Stephens County Development Authority recently gave its 2025 Manufacturing Challenge Industry Tours, says President and CEO Brittany Ivey.
“What a great day touring local industries and sharing the amazing career opportunities available here at home. Eyes were opened, mindsets were shifted and something new was learned by all. We will call that a success! The students who are a part of the Manufacturing Challenge have embarked on a two-week program at North Georgia Technical College. During this training program, the students will receive introductory skills necessary to succeed in a modern manufacturing environment. Some of these skills include Forklift Certification, Precision Measuring Certification, Work Readiness, Interview & Resume Skills and so much more! Thank you to the participating industries for allowing us to tour your facilities and to ASI for sponsoring lunch!”
The participating industries that gave tours of their facilities were: Harbin Lumber Company, Inc., ASI Southeast, GM Wood Products, American Woodmark, and Team Metal Finishing, Inc..
