Stephens County Democratic Committee will meet this weekend

The Stephens County Democratic Committee is having its monthly meeting this weekend in Toccoa.

According to First Vice Chairman Willis Crump the meeting will be held on Saturday, August 1, at 10 a.m. at the amphitheater of Henderson Falls Park.

He says the agenda for the meeting will include future activities of the group as well as a meet-and-greet with the Democratic Candidates for the 9^th District U.S. House of Representatives race, Brooke Siskin and Devin Pandy, who are vying in the August 11 runoff election.

Additionally, Dee Daley, Democratic candidate for the 50^th District State Senate seat will also be at the meeting.

Crump says they chose Henderson Falls Park for its meeting to ensure the group could practice safe, social distancing.

Those who are planning to attend are asked to wear a mask for their safety and others.

All democrat and independent voters are encouraged to attend the meeting on Saturday.

Lastly, Crump says following the meeting, everyone is invited to support the Back-to-School Backpack giveaway at Emory Johnson Park.
