Stephens County Clerk of Court says postcards from US District Court are legitimate

As WNEG News reported Thursday, Stephens County Clerk of Court Tim Quick is advising residents that the United States District Court has been mailing out postcards for Federal Court.

He says the postcards do require your attention and are legitimate.

“I just want to let everyone know that there have been some postcards sent out by the United States District Court and it is legitimate. It’s asking you about Federal Court for the United States District Court. It is real. You do need to go online, you do need to fill it out. It doesn’t have anything to do with local court, its federal court, but it is legitimate. It isn’t a scam. You do need to go online and fill those out. If you don’t, you will probably get something from Federal Court,” he said.

Again, if you receive a postcard from the United States District Court you need to follow the instructions on the card.

For anyone skeptical of the postcard’s legitimacy, Quick urges residents that this is not a scam.
