Stephens Co. Planning Commission approves Two Rezoning Requests and a Variance Request

The Stephens County Planning Commission met on Tuesday, February 3, and approved two rezoning requests and a variance request. Stephens County Administrator Christian Hamilton gives details on a rezoning request for New Hope Baptist Church.

The other rezoning request was for .23 acres on Nub Garland Road from agricultural residential to residential single for combination purposes. The variance request was for property on Rock Creek Road for side and rear setbacks.

The Stephens County Planning Commission is a recommending authority for the Stephens County Board of Commissioners. The Planning Commission meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Stephens County Historic Courthouse at 37 West Tugalo Street in Toccoa. The Stephens County Board of Commissioners hears the Planning Commission recommendations on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Historic Courthouse.
