Stephens Co. Board of Commissioners approve IGA concerning Elections

All voters in Stephens County will now vote at the Historic Courthouse. At their regular meeting on Tuesday, March 11, the Stephens County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a motion to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with the City of Toccoa, the Town of Martin, and the Town of Avalon to conduct elections. Stephens County Administrator Christian Hamilton says this will make elections much easier to conduct.

This will also be a cost savings and eliminate travel for election workers. The Stephens County Historic Courthouse is located at 37 West Tugalo Street in downtown Toccoa.
