Steady turnout in Toccoa-Stephens County during first week of early voting

Early voting continues in Toccoa-Stephens County.

That’s according to Stephens County Registrar Eureka Gober.

Early voting began on Monday, October 12, and Gober says, during the first three days, 2,115 residents have come in to cast advance ballots.

She says all advance voting will be done at the Stephens County Registrar’s Office inside the Historic Stephens County Courthouse.

Early voting will continue Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily through Friday, October 30.

Gober says the Registrar’s Office will be open on Saturday, October 24, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. for one day of Saturday voting for residents who are unable to cast an early ballot during the week.

Anyone wishing to vote by absentee ballot can request an application by calling the Registrar’s Office at 706-886-8954.

All absentee ballots are due back to the Registrar’s Office no later than 7 p.m. on November 3.

Additionally, there is a ballot box located in front of the Government Building for Absentee Ballots to be dropped off at.

The November General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3.
